Tulip Cherida

The status and profile of the “Cherida” tulip

“Cherida” has firmly established its position in the Triumph tulip segment, widely regarded as the gold standard for spring forcing and landscape design. The core strength of this variety is the rare combination of a tall, elegant stem with exceptional resistance to a spectrum of common fungal threats.

Health as a key advantage

Unlike many ornamental varieties that require intensive fungicidal management, “Cherida” demonstrates innate genetic resilience against:

• Verticillium wilt;
• Fusarium (basal rot);
• Cladosporium;
• Tomato mosaic virus.

This built-in defense mechanism makes it a preferred choice for commercial growers, significantly reducing crop losses in high-density greenhouse environments and open-field cultivation.

Agrotechnics and aesthetic value

Classified as a mid-season bloomer, “Cherida” produces vibrant yellow buds precisely when the market demands high-quality, pristine flowers. The tall stature of the plant makes it suitable not only for garden beds but also for professional cut flower production. The blooms maintain their structure and color intensity remarkably well in vases.

Why choose “Cherida”?

This variety is an optimal solution for those seeking a reliable, low-risk business asset. Its biological “armor” against diseases reduces the need for chemical interventions, while the classic, radiant yellow color remains a perennial favorite for spring holiday markets.
