Caucasian Polonianska

Caucasian Polonianska is a perennial plant reaching 50 to 80 cm in height with flower diameter of 5-8 cm. The bushes of this variety are strong and compact, not prone to collapsing, making them attractive for both garden decoration and cut flowers. Blooming starts in August and continues until frost, with flowers having a pink hue that adds brightness and vibrancy to compositions.

For successful cultivation of Caucasian Polonianska, choose sunny spots with loose, well-draining soil rich in humus and nutrients. The plant does not tolerate shade or drafts and requires moderate watering, as its root system is shallow and sensitive to drying out. To improve soil structure before planting, you can add a small amount of peat, compost, or well-rotted manure, as well as coarse sand for drainage. After planting, pinch back the plant to shape the bush and encourage abundant flowering.

Caucasian Polonianska overwinters in open ground without covering, but during prolonged frosts and low temperatures, additional protection is recommended to safeguard the plant. The variety's cold tolerance corresponds to Zone 4, allowing it to withstand temperatures down to -29 to -34°C. When ordering Korean chrysanthemums in autumn, the plants are carefully packed with moist substrate and provided with protection to preserve the root system and underground runners.
