Tulip Cees Plug

Technical Profile of the Kees Nelis (Kees Plague) Tulip

The Kees Nelis tulip, a prominent member of the Triumph class, is engineered for industrial-grade performance. Its design architecture—specifically the geometry of the cup and the density of the petal tissue—makes it a preferred choice for professional growers who require consistency and resilience.

Biological Resilience and Pathology Control

The cultivar's genetic framework is specifically tuned to resist common bulbous plant pathogens, significantly reducing the necessity for intensive chemical intervention:

• Downy Mildew (Peronospora): The dense epidermal structure provides a robust mechanical barrier against mycelial penetration in high-humidity environments.
• Powdery Mildew: The plant exhibits strong resistance to fungal surface colonization, even in dense planting configurations.
• Cucumber Mosaic Virus: Advanced phytosanitary stability ensures that the bright yellow pigmentation remains uniform and free of viral discolouration.

Flowering Specifications

Categorized as a mid-season bloomer, this hybrid is optimized for mid-spring production windows. The tall, sturdy stem is a critical feature for the cut-flower market, ensuring high-quality aesthetics for professional floral arrangements. The intense yellow hue of the petals maintains its chromatic saturation throughout the full bloom cycle, demonstrating superior resistance to UV-induced fading.
