Tulip Tricolored Beauty

Late-season aesthetics: cultivation and management

The «Tricolore de Beauty» tulip, belonging to the Viridiflora class, is a top choice for commercial growers aiming to extend their sales window. Its late-blooming nature allows you to bridge the gap between mid-season varieties and the onset of summer perennials, keeping your supply chain active for longer.

Practical applications for your farm

• Landscaping: The tall stem makes it ideal for the mid-border area or as an accent point in gardens. Its unique salmon-green hue offers a sophisticated look when paired with ornamental grasses.
• Cut flower production: Florists value this cultivar for its dense, wax-like petals. It exhibits exceptional vase life, ensuring premium pricing on markets where longevity is a key quality indicator.
• Harvest efficiency: By planting late-season varieties, you can stagger harvest operations, effectively managing labor costs and avoiding the bottlenecks associated with mass harvesting.

When planning, ensure adequate spacing to allow the Viridiflora blooms to open fully. In greenhouse production, this variety is prized for its uniformity, which significantly reduces labor time during post-harvest sorting. To ensure maximum verticality of the tall stems, position your beds in well-lit, wind-protected areas to protect the high-reaching blossoms from environmental stress.
