Tulip Olympica

A Reliable Classic in the Triumph Class

The 'Olmpița' tulip stands out as a hallmark of the 'Triumph' class, highly valued by professional floriculturists for its predictability and resilience. Unlike more finicky varieties, this tulip delivers consistent performance in both open fields and forcing conditions.

Key Agronomic Strengths

• Exceptional Disease Resistance: The variety shows remarkable tolerance to a wide range of pathogens, including downy mildew (peronospora), phomopsis, phoma, and rust. This natural durability significantly reduces the need for frequent fungicide applications, making it a cost-effective choice for large-scale production.
• Structural Integrity: Its moderate height and robust stem ensure the plant remains upright and sturdy, maintaining its form even in windy conditions, which translates to a higher yield of premium-grade cuts.
• Color Stability: The deep red petals feature high pigment density that resists sun-fading, ensuring the blooms remain vibrant from harvest to display.

Why Choose Olmpița?

Olmpița is a strategic choice for growers prioritizing profitability. Its reliable life cycle and mid-season bloom time make it easy to align with peak market demand. If you are looking for a variety that is forgiving of minor agronomic slips while consistently delivering a uniform, high-quality cut that is largely immune to common fungal outbreaks, Olmpița is a staple asset for your inventory.

Beyond its classic appearance, it excels in post-harvest longevity, keeping its retail appeal intact from the moment it is cut until it reaches the end consumer’s vase.
