Tulip Green Wave

Late-season aesthetic

Green Wave is a professional-grade tulip for growers planning a floral conveyor belt well into late spring. As a member of the parrot tulip group, it demands specific cultural care, yet its decorative impact remains highly sought after in premium landscape design and floriculture.

Practical application for commercial growers

• Landscape and bed design: With its medium height, this variety acts as a perfect mid-tier anchor in flower borders. Planting in groups of 10-15 creates striking focal points; the serrated petal edges and unique pink-and-green color scheme stand out significantly in late May.
• Cut flower production: This hybrid is a lucrative choice for growers targeting high-end markets. Its intricate, unusual color pattern and heavy texture make it an essential component for high-fashion floral arrangements.
• Container gardening: The variety thrives in dense pot plantings, providing a sophisticated transition piece for patios and outdoor zones once earlier spring bulbs have faded.

When scheduling operations, keep in mind that the fragile, ornate petals of parrot tulips require shelter from strong winds to maintain their aesthetic integrity. Aim for planting during the September-October window, when soil temperatures drop to 9–10°C, ensuring optimal root development before the onset of winter frost.
