Tulip Greetings

A resilient choice among Darwin hybrids

The 'Greetings' tulip is designed for those who value reliability over fragile aesthetics. As a member of the Darwin hybrid class, it inherits their most desirable traits: impressive stem height and the ability to maintain its perfect chalice shape even through volatile spring weather. The deep red petals resist fading under the sun, ensuring a premium look until the very end of the flowering cycle.

Agricultural immunity

The main competitive advantage of 'Greetings' is its comprehensive resistance to pathogens that often devastate Dutch bulbous plants in unpredictable climates:

• Full immunity to Tobacco Mosaic Virus;
• High tolerance to Fusarium and Verticillium wilt;
• Minimal risk of Cladosporium infection.

This makes the variety a top-tier choice for commercial cut-flower production or landscape planting where minimal fungicide intervention is preferred.

Who is this variety for?

'Greetings' is a reliable workhorse for professional floriculturists. With its mid-season blooming window, it perfectly bridges the gap between early and late varieties. The tall, sturdy stem ensures excellent marketability of the cut flower. The only detail to consider is the need for balanced nutrition during the budding phase; nutrient deficiencies can occasionally dampen the intensity of the red color. Overall, this is a classic, field-tested variety for growers who prefer consistent results over risky experiments with fragile bulbs.
