Tulip Gudoshnik Double

A Vivid Accent for Early Spring

The 'Gudoshnik Double' tulip is a true embodiment of spring awakening. As a member of the early double tulip class, this hybrid stands out sharply from its classic cup-shaped counterparts. Its primary advantage lies in its peony-like bloom: multi-layered petals form a dense, heavy head that retains its decorative appeal significantly longer than standard varieties.

Palette and Form

The color scheme of 'Gudoshnik Double' is a masterclass in contrast. The blend of deep red with warm orange flushes makes every flower unique. Unlike monochromatic tulips that often get lost in a flower bed, this variety serves as a distinct visual focal point.

• Strengths: Exceptional bud density, resilience to early spring temperature fluctuations, and an impressive 'premium' structure.
• Weaknesses: Due to the size and weight of the blooms, the plants benefit from sheltered locations to avoid damage from strong winds and heavy spring rains.

This variety is an excellent choice for both professional landscaping and private home gardens. With its medium height, it fits perfectly into the foreground or mid-section of a mixed border. If you are looking to bring immediate color to your garden right after the snow melts, 'Gudoshnik Double' is a flawless choice for high-impact gardening.
