Tulip Gavota

A striking contrast for your spring garden

The Triumph tulip «Gavota» is a timeless classic that remains a favorite due to its unique bicolored palette. Unlike many monochromatic varieties, this tulip instantly catches the eye with its blend of deep, rich burgundy (nearly chocolate) petals and a vibrant, sharp yellow border. This bold contrast makes it an essential choice for landscape design, especially when creating geometric flower beds or formal borders.

Key Advantages

• Structural Integrity: Like all members of the Triumph group, this variety features a sturdy, medium-height stem, allowing it to withstand spring winds and heavy rains without sagging.
• Blooming Period: Classified as a mid-season bloomer, Gavota peaks in the middle of spring, providing a vibrant show just as the garden hits its stride.
• Disease Resistance: A significant advantage of this cultivar is its robust resistance to common pathogens, including common scab, late blight, blackleg, and potato wart. This inherent hardiness significantly reduces maintenance, making it an excellent choice for both professional growers and amateur gardeners.

Who is this variety for?

Gavota is perfect for those who demand a balance between high-end aesthetics and low-maintenance requirements. Its durability and elegant, classic goblet shape make it a top pick not only for garden planting but also for professional cut flower production. It maintains freshness for a long time in a vase, and its dense petals are resistant to damage during handling. If you are looking to create a high-impact display that requires minimal fungicide intervention, this tulip will surely become one of your go-to varieties.
