Tulip Havran

Havran: A Premium Triumph Tulips Choice

In the world of Triumph tulips, Havran stands out as a reliable asset for both commercial growers and garden designers. Its deep, velvet-like burgundy color is not just an aesthetic advantage; it is a sign of a robust and well-bred cultivar that performs consistently under variable spring conditions.

Reliability and Maintenance

For any operator, the primary concern is the plant’s health. Havran excels here by showing strong resistance to common fungal threats such as downy mildew, phomopsis, and phoma. Furthermore, its resistance to sunflower rust (a common issue among bulbous plants) means fewer fungicide applications are required, directly reducing operational costs and ensuring higher success rates for the planting stock.

Technical Specifications for Growers

• Bloom Time: Being a mid-season bloomer, Havran fits perfectly into standard production schedules, offering predictability during the peak spring window.
• Structure: The average height of the stem provides excellent structural integrity. This eliminates the need for staking, as the plants remain upright even during strong winds, making maintenance straightforward and labor-efficient.
• Durability: The classic, tight shape of the flower holds up exceptionally well, maintaining its commercial value for an extended period after cutting.

Operating a bed of Havran is efficient. It requires standard soil moisture management and basic nutritional maintenance. Its resilience makes it an ideal choice for those who need a high-impact bloom with minimal risk and low intervention requirements.
