Tulip Yokohama

Operational reliability: The Yokohama Tulip

For professional floriculturists, the Yokohama tulip (Triumph class) serves as a reliable workhorse. This variety is highly predictable in its cultivation cycle, with mid-season blooming that allows for precise planning of harvesting and logistics. Unlike more temperamental forced varieties, Yokohama is engineered for resilience, significantly lowering maintenance requirements and reducing potential losses due to common pathogens.

Key Operational Advantages

• Disease resistance: Yokohama exhibits robust resistance to anthracnose, fusarium wilt, and powdery mildew. This reduces the need for frequent fungicide applications, saving on inputs and simplifying your crop protection program.
• Structural integrity: The medium height of this plant is ideal for standard transport boxes. The stem is sturdy and resistant to lodging, ensuring minimal damage during high-density planting and subsequent handling.
• Market quality: The vibrant yellow petals maintain their intense pigmentation and classic goblet shape, even when facing fluctuating temperatures. The uniformity of the crop ensures that the post-harvest sorting process is streamlined and efficient.

Operating with Yokohama means focusing on productivity rather than troubleshooting. Its natural resistance and consistent growth habit result in a low discard rate, providing the professional grower with a uniform, high-quality product that meets commercial standards every time.
