Tulip Strong Gold

Why Strong Gold has become the gold standard

In the world of commercial floriculture, there are varieties that have remained relevant for decades. Strong Gold is a classic Triumph tulip, valued not for exotic shapes, but for its predictability and reliability. If you need a tulip that won't let you down in the greenhouse and will withstand transport, this hybrid is your top choice.

Agronomic profile and resilience

The main advantage of Strong Gold over many competitors is its exceptional resistance to diseases that often decimate yellow variety crops. This hybrid demonstrates high resilience to the following pathogens:

• Fusarium wilt;
• Verticillium wilt;
• Tomato mosaic virus;
• Cladosporiosis.

This makes it a favorite for industrial forcing, as it minimizes the risk of losing marketability. The plant has a medium stem height, which allows it to maintain proportionality and stability in a bouquet without bending under the weight of its large, elegant bloom.

Practical application: a professional perspective

Who is this variety perfect for? Primarily for farmers producing cut flowers for spring holidays. Thanks to its mid-season blooming, Strong Gold fits easily into forcing schedules, allowing for precise delivery planning. Its vibrant yellow color does not fade in the sun, and the dense structure of the petals ensures excellent durability during transit.

Strengths: high resistance to fungal and viral diseases, pure yellow hue, stiff stem, and excellent bulb multiplication rate.

Weaknesses: requires strict temperature control during forcing; otherwise, there is a risk of premature development under low-light conditions.

Strong Gold is a workhorse that, with proper care, delivers stable results without the demanding, specific requirements often associated with finicky exotic hybrids.
