Triticale Ulyana

Triticale of the Ulyana variety is a spring wheat-rye hybrid that combines the best qualities of rye and wheat. This variety is intended for grain and fodder use and is characterized by high yield and resistance to adverse conditions. The vegetative period ranges from 85 to 107 days, with average heading time. Plants reach a height of 85 to 112 cm, while the weight of 1000 grains varies from 36.0 to 47.7 grams. The ear is white, of medium length, fully awned, with strong waxy coating on the flag leaf sheath and very strong pubescence at the stem neck. The Ulyana variety is distinguished by high resistance to lodging and drought resistance at the level of standards. In growing regions such as the Kaluga and Smolensk regions, as well as the Volga-Vyatka and Central regions, the average grain yield reaches 32.2 centners per hectare, exceeding the average standard by 3.7 centners. Meanwhile, the variety is moderately affected by septoria but is more susceptible to brown rust and powdery mildew, which requires attention during plant protection. Triticale Ulyana is widely used in agriculture for the production of compound feeds and can also be used for obtaining flour, starch, and alcohol. Thanks to its frost hardiness and high productivity, this variety is a promising choice for farmers seeking stable and high yields. For successful cultivation, it is recommended to adhere to agronomic requirements, including the selection of suitable soils, sowing rates, and timely harvest collection.
