Triticale Kharkiv AVIAC

Field Performance and Cultivation

When selecting seeds for farms focused on economic efficiency and predictable yields, the "Kharkiv AVIAS" variety from the V. Ya. Yuriev Institute of Plant Production stands out as a reliable technological asset. For an operator, the key advantage is the uniform stand height of 90–100 cm, which ensures even maturation and prevents lodging, even during seasons with high humidity during grain filling.

Protection and Farm Management

The primary benefit in field management is the crop's natural resistance to phytopathology. This significantly reduces the need for intensive field monitoring to detect early fungal outbreaks. The genetic immunity against brown leaf rust and septoria allows for the optimization of fungicide applications. This translates into direct savings on crop protection agents and reduces the number of tractor passes across the field, minimizing soil compaction and fuel consumption.

The protection profile of "Kharkiv AVIAS" includes strong resistance to:

• Mycosphaerella leaf spot;
• Plant rust;
• Stem smut;
• Powdery mildew;
• Brown spot.

The short-stem characteristic simplifies the harvesting process: less vegetative mass passes through the combine's threshing mechanism, reducing strain on machinery components and increasing the harvest rate per hectare. If you are looking for a culture that requires minimal maintenance after sowing while delivering consistent performance under intensive farming conditions in Ukraine, this variety is a solid investment for your crop rotation.
