Triticale Rivolt

Genetic potential and adaptability of Rivolt

Winter triticale 'Rivolt' from the breeding and seed company 'RVA Ukraina' is the result of purposeful selection aimed at combining high yield potential with resilience in challenging agro-climatic conditions. The variety's core value lies in merging the adaptability of rye with the productivity of wheat, making it an essential tool for farms operating on low-fertility soils or in risky agricultural zones.

Technological aspects of vegetation

• Tillering and architecture: The plant features a powerful tillering node, enabling the formation of a robust stand even under sparse sowing conditions.
• Winter hardiness: The variety's genetic architecture provides high frost resistance, allowing the crop to maintain the viability of the tillering node during sudden temperature fluctuations in the spring.
• Immune status: The breeding program focuses on reducing susceptibility to leaf and stem diseases, which significantly optimizes the budget for fungicide protection during the first half of the vegetation period.

Practical application in crop rotation

Choosing Rivolt is justified when a stable feed base or commercial grain is required on plots where wheat underperforms. The uniqueness of triticale lies in its efficient utilization of moisture and nutrients from deeper soil horizons. The intensive root system allows the variety to better withstand drought periods during the second half of the growing season, ensuring consistent grain filling. By following the agrotechnical regulations recommended by 'RVA Ukraina', the variety demonstrates high developmental intensity in the early stages, effectively suppressing weed growth and reducing the herbicide load on the field.
