The stem height ranges from 93 to 110 cm, while the spike length varies between 10.5-13 cm. The grain is of medium size with a 1000-grain weight ranging from 33.5 to 41.9 grams. The variety is characterized by high resistance to lodging, which helps preserve the crop in complex weather conditions. The average protein content in the grain is in the range of 12.8-15.2 %, making it valuable for the food industry.
DONSLAV possesses a high level of frost and winter hardiness, is resistant to May frosts, and also demonstrates comprehensive field resistance to rusts. It is not affected by powdery mildew, loose smut, or hard smut, which significantly reduces the risk of crop losses due to diseases. The productivity potential of the variety exceeds 10 tons per hectare, and the maximum yield recorded in the Kursk region reached 9.72 tons per hectare.
The variety is recommended for a wide range of applications: in confectionery industry, fermentation production, for preparing compound feeds, and for obtaining starch products.
