Maize Tekni CS

Genetic Architecture of the Tekni CS Hybrid

French selection from Caussade Semences focuses on adaptability and grain energy density. Tekni CS is a simple hybrid where the key engineering solution is the combination of flint-dent grain type and high starch content (54%). In practice, this ensures an optimal balance between moisture dry-down speed and dry matter accumulation, which is critical for operations aiming for high-quality grain yields.

Biological Protection and Development Potential

Crop resistance to pathogens in changing climates is a primary challenge. The genetic architecture of Tekni CS is reinforced with resistance to a complex of diseases, including Fusarium and Helminthosporium. Protection against stem smut ensures stalk integrity until harvest, minimizing losses during mechanical harvesting.

• FAO 90–1240: broad adaptability across various growing zones.
• Maturity: 110–120 days, ensuring a predictable harvest schedule.
• Technological Density: at a recommended seeding rate of 75–80 thousand plants per hectare, the hybrid demonstrates maximum yield potential by efficiently utilizing available moisture and nutrients.

Choosing a simple hybrid from the originator Caussade Semences means betting on crop uniformity. The lack of physiological variability allows for optimized combine settings, increasing overall harvesting efficiency without grain loss.
