Timothy Grass KHABAROVSKAYA

Agrotechnical characteristics of the 'Khabarovskaya' Timothy grass

The 'Khabarovskaya' variety is a product of breeding by Fgbun Hfits Dvo Ran, specifically developed for high-yield forage production. Timothy grass is a crop that requires a precise understanding of its biological potential for successful hayfield and pasture establishment.

Biological potential and utility

The key feature of this variety is its specialized use: it is a classical forage type. Under production conditions, the variety demonstrates adaptability to regional climate factors, which is critical for ensuring a stable feed base. Using 'Khabarovskaya' allows for the optimization of the hay and haylage harvesting cycle due to its predictable growth stages.

• Forage value: The variety provides a balanced protein content necessary for maintaining high-quality cattle rations.
• Agrotechnics: The crop responds well to nitrogen fertilization, which acts as the primary factor in biomass accumulation.
• Resilience: The variety possesses genetically inherent overwintering mechanisms, minimizing the risk of stand thinning after the winter season.

Practical application of the 'Khabarovskaya' variety from Fgbun Hfits Dvo Ran is ideal for farms prioritizing the longevity of their forage stands. Unlike short-lived perennial grasses, Timothy grass maintains productivity over several years when managed with proper mowing cycles. Utilizing original seeds from Fgbun Hfits Dvo Ran ensures crop purity and adherence to varietal specifications, directly impacting the final yield of forage mass per hectare.
