Timothy Grass Timoturf

Efficient Forage Production with Timotorf

The Timothy grass variety "Timotorf," developed by the German breeding house Euro Grass Breeding KG, is engineered for farmers who prioritize consistency and nutritional quality in their forage base. Designed specifically for agricultural use, this variety excels in both long-term pastures and intensive hay production systems.

Field Performance and Agrotechnical Benefits

The primary advantage of choosing "Timotorf" lies in its robust health profile, specifically its resistance to leaf spot diseases. By maintaining an intact and healthy leaf canopy throughout the growing season, the plant preserves its nutritional density and energy levels, which is crucial for modern high-yield dairy and livestock operations.

• High Regrowth Potential: As a fodder-type variety, "Timotorf" demonstrates rapid regrowth after cutting, allowing for up to 3–4 harvest cycles per season under optimal management and fertilization conditions.
• Adaptability: The genetics from Euro Grass Breeding KG ensure strong winter hardiness and persistence. This variety maintains a dense stand over many years, proving its value in diverse climatic conditions.
• Harvest Efficiency: The growth habit of "Timotorf" facilitates efficient mowing and windrow formation. The plant dries effectively, reducing field exposure time and minimizing potential weather-related harvest losses.

For farm managers, "Timotorf" represents a low-risk, high-reward investment. Its physical characteristics make it easy to harvest, while its nutritional quality ensures high intake rates by cattle. Whether implemented in pure stands or as part of complex grass mixtures, this variety is a reliable tool for maximizing forage output per hectare.
