Timothy Grass LENINGRADSKAYA 204

Reliable Yields in Harsh Conditions

Timothy grass 'Leningradskaya 204' delivers the operational reliability that farm managers demand for long-term consistency. This variety is the go-to choice for those seeking a balance between low-maintenance requirements and steady green mass productivity. Field experience demonstrates that this crop excels in volatile climatic conditions, maintaining sward density even during drought-prone seasons when other forage grasses typically struggle.

Cultivation Performance and ROI

The key asset of 'Leningradskaya 204' is its superior drought tolerance. If your fields are located in moisture-deficit regions, this variety mitigates the costs associated with emergency irrigation. Under proper management, the green mass yield reaches 30-45 t/ha, making it a highly effective tool for securing your feed supply chain. Its resistance to leaf spot significantly reduces the burden on your plant protection system — fewer fungicide applications lead to lower production costs.

Operational Highlights

• Adaptability: The variety shows strong establishment across various soil types and demonstrates excellent regrowth energy after mowing.
• Economics: High resistance to leaf diseases saves money on chemical inputs and labor hours.
• Feed Value: The crop maintains consistent nutrient density, which is critical for the profitability of beef and dairy operations.

International breeding efforts—from laboratories in France and New Zealand to the expert assessment of the A.G. Lorch Federal Research Center—have imbued this variety with genetic endurance. For an agronomist, this translates into predictability: predictable fertilizer response, predictable harvest windows, and a stable silage or hay inventory.
