Timothy Grass Khibinskaya 673

Timothy grass variety Khibinskaya 673 – a highly productive perennial grass widely used in agriculture as a fodder crop and for haymaking. The plant features an upright growth habit in the second year, medium-width green leaves, and a dense leaf canopy, enabling rapid biomass accumulation.

The variety is characterized by moderate heading time, maintaining a flag leaf for two weeks after flowering. It has medium stem and inflorescence length, with a medium upper internode, promoting excellent hay structure and higher dry matter yield.

Average dry matter yield in the region is 49.6 centners per hectare, exceeding the standard. In trials, the variety demonstrated disease resistance and the ability to provide two harvests per season, while in pasture use it can regrow three to four times during summer. Thanks to these characteristics, Khibinskaya 673 is a valuable resource for efficient fodder production.
