Timothy Grass Charovnytsia

Durability and Yield: The Core Strengths

Timothy grass variety "Charivnytsia," developed by the Prykarpattia Agricultural Research Station, is a proven solution for Ukrainian livestock operations. Unlike many imported, high-input varieties, "Charivnytsia" is bred specifically for endurance, making it a reliable performer in temperate and mountainous climatic zones.

Key Agrotechnical Advantages

• Superior Regrowth: This variety demonstrates excellent recovery rates after mowing, allowing for multiple harvests within a single growing season.
• Forage Quality: The foliage is known for its texture, which significantly improves digestibility and intake rates for livestock.
• Cold Tolerance: It stands out for its high overwintering capacity, maintaining stand density where less adapted varieties might struggle.

Why Choose "Charivnytsia"?

This variety is ideal for farms focusing on long-term pasture management. While some grasses require reseeding every few years, "Charivnytsia" maintains high productivity for 5 to 7 years, offering significant savings in labor and seed costs. Its longevity makes it a staple for sustainable meadow management.

A critical consideration for growers is moisture management. While robust in its climatic niche, it does not thrive in extreme, prolonged drought conditions found in arid steppe zones. For optimal results in such areas, we recommend using it in binary mixtures or poly-culture systems to ensure stable yield throughout the summer months.
