Timothy grass 'Milena' is a high-yielding variety characterized by excellent winter hardiness and drought tolerance, as well as resistance to lodging and shattering. Thanks to rapid and friendly regrowth in spring after mowing, it ensures stable productivity throughout the season. The variety has a late maturity, allowing for a combined harvest 81 days after sowing.
'Milena' has a high level of feed quality: dry matter reaches 11–12 t/ha, and seeds – 0.5–0.6 t/ha. The protein content of dry matter is 10.6%, and cellulose – 28.4%. This makes the variety ideal for producing agricultural feeds, both independently and in mixtures with other grasses. The variety is suitable for creating grasslands, haymaking, and pasture use on meadow soils and drained peat soils.
'Milena' is recommended for growing in the forest-steppe and Polesia zones. It adapts well to various growth conditions, has high disease resistance, and ensures stable productivity in animal feed production.
