Timothy Grass Vyshhorodska

Durability for High-Yield Forage Production

When selecting perennial grasses for long-term pasture or hay production, resilience is the deciding factor. The «Vyshgorodska» timothy grass, developed by the Kyiv State Agricultural Research Station of the National Center «Institute of Agriculture of NAAS», is engineered specifically for the volatile climate conditions of Ukraine. This variety serves as a robust foundation for forage systems, focusing on performance where soil moisture is often limited.

Field Performance and Operational Efficiency

From an operator's perspective, the «Vyshgorodska» variety is designed for predictability. Its high drought tolerance ensures that the field remains productive even during the scorching summer months, preventing the die-off common in less resilient grasses. When it comes to harvesting, the plant structure allows for clean, efficient cutting. The forage stand matures uniformly, which means less time spent adjusting machinery and fewer equipment malfunctions due to uneven or clogged swath.

Key Operational Advantages

• Superior Drought Resilience: Unlike sensitive cultivars, this variety maintains green mass through periods of heat stress, protecting your seasonal forage output.
• Maintenance of Stand: The longevity of the crop in a forage mix is a major asset, reducing the need for frequent reseeding and soil disruption.
• Ease of Management: «Vyshgorodska» responds well to standard fertilization practices, making it easy to incorporate into existing farm management routines without the need for complex, specialized intervention.

By prioritizing yield stability and durability, this variety minimizes the risk of crop failure. For any farm manager focused on consistent forage quality and efficient equipment utilization, «Vyshgorodska» represents a reliable, cost-effective solution for permanent grasslands.
