UMANSKY MS 97

UMANSKY MS 97 is a single-seed triploid hybrid of sugar beet on a Z-type sterile base, developed by the Institute of Root Crops of the Ural Agroindustrial Research Center. This hybrid belongs to the sugary and late-maturing type of plants, which ensures high quality and yield stability. Seeds of the variety are registered for use in the Central Black Earth and Urals regions, including the Tambov region.

Average root yield in recommended regions is about 460.4 centners per hectare, while sugar content reaches 18.7%. This allows obtaining sugar harvest at the level of 86.6 centners per hectare, making UMANSKY MS 97 a profitable choice for sugar producers. High yield and sugar content indicators ensure effective use of the hybrid in agricultural production.

The hybrid is distinguished by good disease resistance: under field conditions, very weak damage by root rots and cercosporosis is noted, weak damage by powdery mildew, and medium damage by root eelworm. These characteristics contribute to reducing yield losses and reducing costs for plant protection, which increases the economic efficiency of growing this variety.
