The variety is characterized by high sugar content, ranging from 17% to 21.4% according to various data, making it in demand for sugar production and other food products.

Plants of the 'Griffon' variety possess good resistance to major diseases and pests. In particular, high resistance to powdery mildew, cercosporosis, root rots, and root nematode damage is noted. Additionally, the variety demonstrates good frost resistance, expanding cultivation possibilities in various climatic conditions, including the Volga-Vyatka and Almaty regions.
