Vilshanka is sugar beet, an agronomic crop primarily used for sugar production. This variety is cultivated on fertile and well-watered soils, which ensures high yield and quality of raw material. Successful cultivation requires proper fertilization, irrigation, and care, which promote plant development and increase sugar content in roots.
This variety is a triploid hybrid developed jointly by the Bila Tserkva Selection Station and the Ivanovskaya Experimental-Selection Station. It is designed for high yield and sugar content, reaching sugar levels of 18.5–19.0%. Sugar yield is 9–10 tons per hectare, making this variety especially valuable for the sugar industry.
Vilshanka sugar beet was officially registered since 2010 and is recommended for cultivation in the Forest-Steppe zone. In addition to sugar production, beet is also used in agriculture as a fodder crop and in the production of energy products. Cultivating this variety supports efficient agricultural production and provides a stable income for farmers.
