Description Scout
Sugar beet SCOUT is a single-seeded triploid hybrid on a sterile base, developed to achieve high yields and high sugar content. This mid-season high-yielding and sugary hybrid is distinguished by its resistance to rhizomania, ensuring reliable cultivation and crop preservation. SCOUT has good storage capacity in bagasse, facilitating storage and transport of root crops without quality loss.

Hybrid SCOUT is recommended for cultivation in the Central and Central Black Earth regions, where it demonstrates an average yield of about 414 c/ha with a sugar content of about 15-16%. In other regions, such as the North Caucasian and Lower Volga, yield and sugar content indicators also remain high, reaching up to 379-415 c/ha and sugar content up to 18.7%. High sugar collection, reaching up to 82 c/ha in some regions, makes this hybrid attractive for industrial sugar production.

Despite high productivity, SCOUT is susceptible to root louse and powdery mildew, and to a lesser extent, cercosporosis, which requires the application of appropriate agrotechnical and protective measures. The hybrid has no patent and belongs to the first generation of hybrids, confirming its proven efficiency and stability in various climatic conditions.
