Sugar beet Milord

Sugar beet of the Milord variety is a single-seed diploid hybrid on a sterile N-type basis, developed for high yield and quality sugar. This variety is distinguished by good adaptability to various climatic conditions and resistance to several diseases, making it an optimal choice for cultivation in different regions of Russia, including the Central Chernozem, North Caucasus, Ural, and West Siberian regions.

The average yield of roots of the Milord variety reaches 494 centners per hectare, with sugar content in the roots amounting to approximately 18.2%. Sugar harvest reaches 89.6 centners per hectare, indicating high quality sugar mass. Despite its high productivity, the variety shows low root maggot infestation, moderate powdery mildew, and strong root rot, requiring attention during agronomic practices.

Sugar beet Milord is recommended for cultivation in regions such as Voronezh Oblast and Altai Krai, where it demonstrates stable performance. Seeds of this variety are available for purchase, allowing farmers to effectively plan planting campaigns and achieve high economic returns from growing this hybrid.
