Sugar beet S 2160 M

Reliable performance in challenging conditions

When working with sugar beet, the biggest challenge is yield loss due to disease pressure. The C 2160 M hybrid from Sesvanderhave Nv/Sa is specifically designed to reduce the need for constant fungicide applications, providing a stable, high-quality crop even in demanding environments. This is a practical choice for farmers who prioritize consistency over experimental varieties.

Advanced pathological resistance

Rhizomania is often the deciding factor in crop failure, but the C 2160 M exhibits high tolerance, making it an excellent candidate for intensive crop rotation cycles. Furthermore, the hybrid shows robust resistance against Cercospora, powdery mildew, and various root rots. For the field operator, this means fewer stress points during the growing season and a significantly lower risk of field infection, even during wet, humid weather that usually promotes pathogen development.

Sugar content and harvest efficiency

The core advantage of this hybrid is its stable sugar content, consistently ranging from 18% to 19%. This high concentration is highly sought after by processing facilities. The root structure is dense and uniform, which ensures better mechanical harvest performance and minimizes damage during handling. Reduced physical damage translates into lower losses during transport and storage in clamps. For those looking for a proven, low-maintenance variety, this Belgian hybrid offers the reliability needed for a profitable season.
