Sugar beet SY Badia

Consistent Yields in Challenging Climatic Conditions

The «Si Badia» sugar beet hybrid from the Swiss manufacturer Syngenta is a choice for those who prioritize phytosanitary reliability. In conditions where intensive leaf disease progression can claim up to 30% of yield potential, this hybrid demonstrates exceptional resistance to a complex of pathogens, including Cercospora leaf spot and powdery mildew.

Agronomic Profile and Key Features

The oval-conical shape of the «Si Badia» root is more than just an aesthetic feature—it is a functional advantage. This geometry ensures easy harvesting with mechanical equipment, minimizing harvest losses and reducing the percentage of mechanical damage, which is crucial for storage quality and sugar content preservation.

• Phytosanitary Shield: High resistance to root rot (Aphanomyces/Pythium) during early growth stages eliminates the need for extra chemical applications and reduces stress on young seedlings.
• Leaf Disease Immunity: Superior protection against downy mildew allows the foliage to remain active until the very end of the season, directly influencing sugar accumulation.

Who is this hybrid for?

«Si Badia» is perfectly suited for agricultural enterprises aiming to reduce pesticide usage without compromising productivity. The hybrid reaches its full potential on highly fertile soils while maintaining stable performance on plots with less favorable conditions. If your strategy focuses on predictable results with minimal epiphytotic risk, this Syngenta solution provides a solid foundation for a successful harvest season.
