Sugar beet NI 0835

Stable yields in challenging environments

When it comes to sugar beet cultivation, disease resistance is the key factor for farm profitability. The NI 0835 hybrid from the Swiss plant breeding giant Syngenta is a reliable solution for those who prefer predictability over risky field trials. In real-world conditions, this crop acts as a true workhorse: the root has a precise oval-conical shape, which is crucial for mechanized harvesting, as it minimizes losses and mechanical damage during combine operations.

Crop health under control

In practice, NI 0835 shows excellent immunity, significantly reducing the pressure on your crop protection system. Given that Cercospora leaf spot and powdery mildew can destroy yield potential in a matter of weeks, this hybrid remains exceptionally resilient:

• Comprehensive protection: Strong resistance to black root and downy mildew ensures uniform emergence and optimal plant density.
• Lower fungicide costs: Due to its genetic tolerance to powdery mildew and Cercospora, the canopy stays green and photosynthetically active until late autumn.
• Harvest efficiency: The specific root geometry facilitates easier extraction from the soil, which lowers fuel consumption per hectare and reduces wear and tear on harvester cleaning units.

By choosing NI 0835, you get a predictable outcome: high sugar content and excellent root quality, ensuring top-tier performance at the processing plant. It is a solid investment for those who value Swiss precision in breeding: maximum efficiency combined with manageable field maintenance costs.
