Sugar beet SX1530

Maximizing Harvest Efficiency with Seedex

The sugar beet hybrid СКС1530, developed by Seedex, is engineered for farmers who prioritize both high sugar yield and mechanical harvesting ease. Breeder Maarten Vanderstukken has designed this variety to perform consistently under varying agronomic conditions, making it a reliable choice for commercial sugar production.

Key Agronomic Features

• Oval-Conical Geometry: The specific shape of the root is designed to withstand mechanical stress during harvest. A smooth transition from the soil profile reduces breakage and damage, which is essential for maintaining sugar content during storage.
• Climate Resilience: Seedex genetics are built to handle environmental stressors, including temperature fluctuations and soil moisture deficits, ensuring a stable plant stand throughout the season.
• High-Purity Harvest: The root's architecture ensures that it emerges from the soil with minimal dirt retention, significantly reducing the amount of soil entering the harvester and improving processing efficiency at the refinery.

Operational Scenarios in the Field

SKS1530 is particularly effective in high-input farming systems where maximizing every hectare is critical. The hybrid exhibits strong early-season vigor, which helps in rapid canopy closure, effectively suppressing weeds and minimizing soil moisture loss. By integrating SKS1530 into their crop rotation, growers can achieve a more streamlined harvesting process. The shape and robustness of the roots make it suitable for modern harvesting equipment, allowing for higher operating speeds while maintaining a clean, high-quality product. This is a practical choice for those who need a balance between aggressive field productivity and logistical efficiency during the busy harvest window.
