Sugar beet SN741 / CH741

Crop Stability in High-Risk Zones

The sugar beet hybrid SN741 / CH741 from the Belgian breeding company Sesvanderhave Nv/Sa is a technological solution to the main challenge of beet farming: unpredictable disease pressure. In intensive agriculture, where pathogens quickly adapt to fungicides, this hybrid stands out for its 'genetic armor'.

A Phytosanitary Shield

The main advantage of this model is its comprehensive resistance to major leaf and root diseases. You gain protection across four critical fronts:

• Cercospora: reduced reliance on multiple chemical spray applications.
• Powdery Mildew: preservation of the leaf canopy until late autumn for maximum sugar accumulation.
• Ramularia: prevention of premature wilting of the leaf rosette.
• Seedling diseases (Damping-off): high field emergence and seedling survival, even under unfavorable spring conditions.

The oval-conical root shape not only ensures excellent yields but also streamlines mechanical harvesting. Digging losses are minimized, and root cleanliness after the harvester is significantly better compared to classic round-shaped varieties.

Who is this choice for?

SN741 / CH741 is ideal for farms operating in regions with high humidity or frequent temperature fluctuations, where the risk of Cercospora outbreaks is at its peak. It is the choice for agronomists aiming to reduce pesticide load per hectare without sacrificing total tonnage. The hybrid is highly responsive to good soil fertility, but its core value lies in its ability to maintain productivity where more 'sensitive' varieties fail under disease pressure.
