Sugar beet Motor

Field Performance of DLF «Motor» Sugar Beet

Choosing genetic material from a company like DLF implies a focus on predictability. The «Motor» hybrid is a reliable choice for farmers operating in fields with high pathogen pressure. In soil conditions prone to infections, this hybrid consistently shows the resilience that more sensitive varieties lack.

Resilience and Disease Control

The standout feature of this hybrid during the growing season is its resistance to root rots. While many other varieties require aggressive fungicide schedules to combat damping-off (Rhizoctonia), «Motor» offers built-in resistance that helps optimize your input costs. It’s not about skipping protection, but rather utilizing the hybrid’s natural ability to withstand early-season stress.

Yield and Sugar Content

For a farm manager, profitability is dictated by sugar extraction rates. «Motor» consistently hits the 17–20% sugar content mark, making it a reliable performer for sugar refinery contracts. The root size is well-balanced—medium and uniform—which significantly simplifies the harvesting process. You get fewer harvest losses, cleaner lifts, and minimal damage to the crowns during mechanical topping.

• Strong biological resistance to root rots.
• Consistent sugar accumulation, typically between 17% and 20%.
• Uniform root size for efficient mechanical harvesting.

From an operational standpoint, «Motor» is quite forgiving. It integrates seamlessly into standard intensive agricultural practices without requiring custom protocols. Whether you are managing field logistics or planning the nutrition cycle, this hybrid behaves predictably, providing the harvest volume needed for a profitable season.
