Description Alicia
The hybrid sugar beet Alicia is a single-stemmed diploid NZ-type hybrid intended for cultivation in various regions, including Central, Volga-Vyatka, and Middle Volga. The plant has medium height, intermediate leaf position, and an oval-conical root with medium length. The vegetation period is approximately 170 days, classifying it as a medium-late sugar beet type. The average root mass reaches about 778.8 grams, contributing to high yield.

Alicia demonstrates high productivity and resistance to major diseases, including root rots and root-eating pests, as confirmed by field trials. Yield varies by region: in the Middle Volga region, it is about 678.2 centners per hectare; in the Central region — 584.2 c/ha; and in the Volga-Vyatka region — 590.2 c/ha. Maximum yields were recorded at Bogoroditsky and Sergach State Variety Testing Stations, reaching 637 and 731 c/ha respectively.

The sugar content in Alicia's roots is also high, ranging from 16.8% to 20.2% depending on the growing region. This ensures high sugar harvest, reaching 95 centners per hectare in the Middle Volga region. The hybrid is registered in the Belarus State Register of Selection Achievements and is actively used in agriculture due to its high agronomic characteristics and adaptability to various climatic conditions.
