Sugar beet hybrid «Key» is a separate-fruiting diploid hybrid of the N-type, intended for cultivation in the Middle Volga region. The plant of medium height, with an oval-conical root shape and a sprawling leaf rosette, features a healthy foliage and high resistance to root rot and root maggots. The vegetation period is 150-160 days, which ensures stable development and harvest maturation.

Hybrid «Key» is characterized by high yield — up to 87 tons per hectare, while sugar content in roots reaches 17.5-17.7%, and sugar output is about 15.2-15.4 tons per hectare. The average root weight is about 759 grams. The plant is highly drought-resistant, as well as resistant to diseases such as ramularia and powdery mildew, while resistance to cercosporosis is rated as moderate. These qualities ensure harvest stability and high juice purity.

Hybrid «Key» is distinguished by excellent storage life, which allows maintaining product quality for a long time. To achieve maximum cultivation efficiency, it is recommended to consider agro-technical measures such as proper seed selection, crop rotation, suitable field selection, and moisture conservation.
