Helita — a diploid hybrid sugar beet with high yield stability and sugar output per hectare. This medium-early hybrid features sugar content of approximately 17.5–20%, ensuring maximum sugar yield upon cultivation. Root mass reaches about 800 grams, with root placement in the soil around 90%, facilitating easy mechanized harvest.
The Helita hybrid exhibits high resistance to major sugar beet diseases, including rhizomania, cercospora, powdery mildew, and aphanomyces root rot. Resistance to these diseases is rated at 7–9 points, making it a reliable choice for various agro-climatic conditions. Due to its genetic resistance and disease tolerance, Helita is especially recommended for cultivation in arid regions, as well as in the Polesie, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe zones.
The recommended plant density at harvest is approximately 90–115 thousand plants per hectare, with a sowing rate of 1.3 seeding units per hectare. The hybrid is well-adapted to irrigation conditions and suitable for mechanized harvesting, simplifying agronomic operations and enhancing production efficiency. The hybrid producer is Syngenta, and the variety was registered in 2008.
