FD SURF

FD SURF — this is a classic diploid sugar beet hybrid, oriented towards high yield and increased sugar content. The hybrid is characterized by high productivity with root yields up to 87.5 tons per hectare and sugar content of about 18.3%. The recommended planting density is 100–115 thousand plants per hectare, ensuring optimal growth and maximum output. FD SURF is suitable for early planting dates and successfully grows in various climatic zones of Ukraine, including Polissia, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe. The hybrid exhibits high resistance to major sugar beet diseases such as root rot, cercosporosis, rhizomania, and powdery mildew, significantly reducing the risk of crop losses and enhancing production stability. The roots have good soil penetration (about 87%), facilitating mechanized harvesting and reducing damage during collection. The average root weight is about 910 grams, which facilitates handling and transportation. FD SURF is intended not only for sugar production but can also be used as a fodder and table crop due to its taste qualities and root storability. The hybrid seeds are suitable for open-ground planting and ensure a rich harvest with proper agronomic practices. This hybrid is a new product on the Ukrainian market and has been developed in accordance with modern requirements for resistance and productivity, making it an attractive choice for farmers aiming for high-quality and efficient sugar beet cultivation.
