Hemp Athena

Field Performance of the Athena Variety

Choosing this variety from the Institute of Bast Crops is a strategic decision for efficiency and operational stability. The primary advantage of 'Athena' is the complete absence of THC, which eliminates legal risks and compliance headaches. It is a reliable tool for professional farmers looking for a straightforward, high-value industrial hemp crop.

Agrotechnical Insights and Yield

• Oil Content: The seeds consistently yield 32–33% oil, making them a competitive asset for processors.
• Operational Adaptability: Since this is a domestically bred Ukrainian variety, it is perfectly synchronized with local soil and climatic conditions.
• Maintenance: The crop requires no exotic farming practices. Standard soil preparation, seedbed moisture management, and timely harvesting are all that is needed.

From an operator's perspective, 'Athena' is highly predictable. It features strong germination energy and fits standard equipment workflows without requiring special modifications. Input costs for fuel and crop protection are comparable to typical grain production cycles. By choosing a variety that is already acclimated to the region, you avoid the risks associated with imported hybrids. The result is a consistent supply of high-quality fiber and oil-rich seeds, ensuring a stable business model with minimal regulatory exposure.
