A new German breeding product from Betaseed GmbH, registered in 2025, is designed for intensive industrial production. This diploid F1 hybrid is specifically adapted for the Forest-Steppe and Polissya regions, where the primary requirements for sugar beet are not only yield but also processing efficiency.

Raw Material Quality and Processing

The cylindrical-conical shape of the root and its complete burial in the soil ensure minimal losses during mechanical harvesting. For processing plants, BTS SMART 4680 is of interest due to its stable sugar content and juice purity. The medium size of the root and its structure allow for optimized washing and slicing processes in diffusion equipment, reducing the amount of impurities entering the production line.

Logistics and Storage

The fully buried root is protected from direct sunlight, preventing crown greening and the accumulation of undesirable substances. This is critical for long-term storage in field clamps. High crop uniformity simplifies transport: the dense structure of the root is resistant to mechanical damage during loading and transit to sugar refineries, minimizing the risk of rot during the waiting period before processing.
