Sunflower IMI PR 9

IMI PR 9 is a new sunflower hybrid developed using the EuroLighting technology, distinguished by high yield and excellent resistance to lodging. The hybrid possesses genetic resistance to common sunflower diseases, enabling it to fully realize its potential and deliver a stable yield. The seeds have a high oil content, making this hybrid attractive for oil production.

The hybrid has a medium-length vegetation period of 106 to 115 days and belongs to the linoleic type. It demonstrates high resistance to drought and sunflower downy mildew, ensuring its adaptability to various climatic conditions. The black seed color and oil content exceeding 52% make it advantageous for farmers seeking high-quality raw material.

IMI PR 9 is recommended for cultivation in the Forest Steppe and Steppe zones of Ukraine, and is suitable for various soil types, including less fertile ones. The hybrid exhibits flexibility regarding sowing dates and high technological efficiency during harvest. Even at lower planting densities, it can compensate for yield by increasing flower head and seed size, making it a versatile and reliable choice for intensive farming.
