Sugar beet PSS 100

PSS 100 is a high-yield hybrid sugar beet developed by the "Pervomayskaya" Breeding Station for cultivation in various regions, including the North Caucasus. This hybrid is distinguished by its high yield and increased sugar content, making it in demand for both sugar production and animal feed. Thanks to breeding efforts, PSS 100 possesses disease resistance, which contributes to a stable and high-quality harvest.

Sugar beet PSS 100 is a biennial root crop from the amaranth family. It is cold-hardy and light-loving, while being moderately demanding regarding soil fertility. The hybrid grows well even on moderately saline soils with proper care and prefers the use of semi-composted fertilizers, as fresh manure can degrade the quality of the roots. Soil moisture plays a crucial role in plant development: water needs increase with growth, but excess moisture before harvest negatively affects sugar content and can lead to root damage.

To achieve maximum yield, autumn sowing is recommended, allowing for the full utilization of the hybrid's advantages. PSS 100 has good storage and transportability, facilitating harvest storage and transport. This hybrid is an excellent choice for farmers aiming to obtain high-quality and stable sugar beet yields.
