Field Resistance and Operational Efficiency

The primary concern for any operator is managing plant health. We have observed that Olesiya F1 shows remarkable tolerance to root rot, rhizomania, cercospora, and scab. This is a game-changer during wet seasons when disease pressure peaks. By relying on the hybrid's genetic resistance, we can maintain a more efficient fungicide schedule, reducing the number of equipment passes in the field and saving on labor and fuel costs.

Harvesting and Root Morphology

The root structure is broad-conical and medium-sized, which makes mechanical harvesting much more efficient. There is significantly less downtime due to header clogs or separator issues compared to irregular-shaped varieties. We typically maintain a seeding density of 100–110,000 plants/ha in optimal soil conditions and 90–100,000 plants/ha in more challenging plots. This approach consistently yields a 17–18% sugar content, which is a major advantage during the delivery to the processing facility.
