Fodder beet Olesya KWS F1

Stable Yields in Challenging Field Conditions

The Olesiya KWS F1 by KWS has proven itself as a dependable asset. As a diploid sugar-type (Z) hybrid, it is engineered to maximize sugar yield per hectare, ensuring that the final output justifies the investment in land preparation and inputs.

Field Resistance and Operational Efficiency

The primary concern for any operator is managing plant health. Olesiya F1 shows remarkable tolerance to root rot, rhizomania, cercospora, and scab. This is a game-changer during wet seasons when disease pressure peaks.

Harvesting and Root Morphology

The root structure is broad-conical and medium-sized, which makes mechanical harvesting much more efficient. There is significantly less downtime due to header clogs or separator issues compared to irregular-shaped varieties. This approach consistently yields a 17–18% sugar content, which is a major advantage during the delivery to the processing facility.

• Type: Sugar (Z), Diploid.
• Resistance: High tolerance to rhizomania, cercospora, root rot, and scab.
• Harvesting: Broad-conical root shape minimizes mechanical losses and equipment wear.
• Performance: Consistent 17–18% sugar content.

Olesiya KWS F1 is a low-stress choice. It simplifies the logistics of the harvest season and provides the genetic security needed to ensure that the sugar content remains high, regardless of moderate environmental fluctuations.
