Sugar beet BTS 7945 N

Stability and Protection: The Potential of BTS 7945 N

In intensive agriculture, where pathogens are becoming increasingly aggressive, the choice of planting material is shifting toward comprehensive resistance. The American hybrid BTS 7945 N from Betaseed is a classic example of the "Normal" (N-type) breeding direction for sugar beets. Its key competitive advantage is not just high yield, but a "shield" against the most dangerous field diseases.

The Phytosanitary Barrier

The main challenge in sugar beet cultivation is soil-borne and foliar infections, which can reduce yields by 30–50%. The Betaseed hybrid demonstrates exceptional resistance to a wide spectrum of threats:

• Fusarium and Cercospora: reliable protection for both the root and foliage, which is critical in regions with high humidity and warm nights.
• Powdery mildew: resistance keeps the foliage healthy for longer, allowing the plant to maintain peak photosynthetic activity.
• Aphanomyces root rot: this factor makes BTS 7945 N an optimal choice for fields where crop rotation cannot fully mitigate the risk of soil contamination.

As a result, growers can significantly reduce expenditures on fungicide applications, which directly impacts the cost of production per ton.

Who is this hybrid for?

BTS 7945 N is designed for farms that prioritize consistency. It is a true "workhorse" capable of reaching its potential across various soil types. As an N-type hybrid, it provides the perfect balance between root weight and sugar content. If your goal is a guaranteed harvest without critical risks in challenging years, this option from Betaseed is one of the most reliable tools in your arsenal.
