BTS 960

BTS 960 is a one-shoot diploid hybrid of sugar beet on a sterile NZ-type base, designed for high yield and quality sugar production. The plant belongs to the medium-late sweetening type and is characterized by early sugar accumulation, making it optimal for early harvesting. Average root yield in the Central-Black Earth region reaches 492 c/ha with a sugar content of about 20.1%, ensuring sugar collection at the level of 98.5 c/ha.

The hybrid is distinguished by stable development and good adaptation to various climatic conditions and soil types. It is recommended for cultivation on fields with low and medium degrees of sugar beet disease infestation. BTS 960 has tolerance to powdery mildew and fusarium rots, as well as a medium level of resistance to cercosporosis and aphaniomyces, which contributes to reduced yield losses and improved product quality.
