The HI1260 sugar beet hybrid is a modern, high-yielding crop designed for cultivation in moderate climates. This variety is characterized by stable yields and high sugar mass accumulation in the fall, ensuring a sugar yield of 12.2 tons per hectare with a potential yield of up to 79 tons per hectare. The hybrid's high resistance to stress factors such as drought, chlorosis, root rot, and other root diseases makes it a reliable choice for various agro-climatic zones, including steppes, forest-steppes, and meadows.
Sugar beet HI1260 contains a high sugar content — modern varieties typically contain 18-20% sucrose, making it an important technical crop for sugar production. In addition, the roots and tops of sugar beets have significant feed value: 100 kg of roots contain approximately 25 feeding units and 1.2 kg of digestible protein, while the tops provide 20 feeding units and 2.2 kg of digestible protein. This allows the crop to be used not only for sugar production but also as high-quality animal feed.
For sowing, a seed rate of 4-5 plants per square meter is recommended, promoting optimal growth and maximum yield. HI1260 hybrid seeds are produced in Ukraine and supplied in 200-gram packages. Thanks to its characteristics and adaptability, this hybrid is an effective solution for farmers aiming to achieve high and stable sugar beet yields with good technological and feed properties.
