Sugar beet Altay

Reliable yield performance in demanding environments

For agronomists managing large-scale sugar beet production, the 'Altiy' hybrid offers a level of predictability that is essential for a smooth operation. This diploid hybrid falls into the NZ-NE category (Normal Sugar - Normal Yield), serving as a balanced choice for farmers who prioritize consistency over high-risk experimental trends. It performs reliably under standard intensive cultivation practices, ensuring a predictable return on investment.

Integrated disease resistance for cost-effective management

The primary operational advantage of 'Altiy' is its genetic resistance to root diseases, specifically rhizomania and Aphanomyces root rot. This built-in protection significantly reduces the need for heavy fungicide programs. Fewer passes through the field not only save on fuel and maintenance costs but also protect soil structure from unnecessary compaction.

• Pathogen resistance: High tolerance to cercospora, powdery mildew, and various rot types keeps the foliage healthy until the final harvest window.
• Sugar content: Maintains a stable 18–19% sugar level, ensuring optimal recovery rates at the sugar processing plant.
• Mechanical efficiency: The diploid nature of the hybrid results in uniform root size, which is critical for minimizing losses during mechanized harvesting and simplifying combine adjustments.

Managing 'Altiy' in the field is straightforward. It does not require complex or unorthodox agronomic interventions; it responds perfectly to standard fertilization protocols. The hybrid shows excellent adaptability across different Ukrainian climatic zones, maintaining root health despite fluctuating moisture levels. For an operator, this means less time troubleshooting and more focus on efficient logistics and harvest throughput. Choosing 'Altiy' is a strategic decision for those who value phytosanitary security and operational stability.
