Zubr sunflower is a medium-early adaptive hybrid successfully grown under various soil-climatic conditions and different levels of agronomy. It stands out for its high productivity within its maturity group, with a potential yield of 4.2–4.3 tons per hectare. Plants reach a height of 150–160 cm, with a vegetation period of 110–115 days. The hybrid exhibits high resistance to drought, heat, powdery mildew, lodging, stem breakage, sclerotinia, and fomopsis, making it a reliable choice for cultivation under challenging conditions. Seeds contain a high oil content — from 49 to 51%, and the 1000-seed weight ranges between 58–61 grams. Zubr is characterized by intensive early growth and relatively high plant height, reaching up to 190 cm. The seed head is semi-tilted, convex, with a diameter up to 26 cm. Oil content of mature seeds is 50–52%, with a kernel oil content of 20–22%. The hybrid demonstrates resistance to a wide range of stress factors and diseases, including fomopsis, perennospore disease, black root rot, rust, gray and white mold, as well as pests such as sunflower moth and various species of flea beetles. Optimal plant density before harvest is 55–65 thousand per hectare, depending on the region. Additionally, there is agricultural machinery under the name 'Zubr' — a harrow designed for surface soil treatment. It promotes stimulation of the germination of weeds, interrupts soil capillarity, mixes crop residues, and prepares the seedbed. The harrow is highly productive with low fuel consumption and can operate at speeds up to 18 km/h, treating soil to a depth of up to 12 cm. Working components are equipped with shock-absorbing stands with rubber dampers and cut-out spherical discs with a diameter of 460 mm, ensuring efficient operation even on weedy and rocky soils. Vibration aids in self-cleaning of working parts, while a planar roller-type trailing roller ensures quality soil breakdown and compaction.
