This variety is characterized by low content of amino nitrogen and other substances that contribute to molasses formation, ensuring rapid sugar accumulation and high sugar content, reaching 22%. Due to these qualities, Continental is suitable for cultivation in open ground and is recommended for early and mid-season harvests.

The plant has a typical root crown placement above the soil surface, facilitating harvesting. The variety exhibits resistance to major sugar beet diseases: root cancer (resistance rating 7) and moderate resistance to powdery mildew (rating 6). These features make Continental a reliable choice for farmers aiming to achieve a stable and high-quality harvest.

In addition, the variety has high productivity with yield potential ranging from 70 to 90 tons per hectare. Its use allows effectively combining high sugar content with disease resistance, reducing losses and enhancing the economic efficiency of sugar beet production.
